"Flight Logs Put Clinton, Dershowitz on Pedophile Billionaire’s Sex Jet
Nick Bryant 01/22/15 02:55PM
Bill Clinton took repeated trips on the " Lolita Express"—the private passenger jet owned by billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein—with an actress in softcore porn movies whose name appears in Epstein's address book under an entry for "massages," according to flight logbooks obtained by Gawker and published today for the first time. The logs also show that Clinton shared more than a dozen flights with a woman who federal prosecutors believe procured underage girls to sexually service Epstein and his friends and acted as a "potential co-conspirator" in his crimes.

We Just Got a Rare Look at National Security Surveillance. It Was Ugly.
A high-profile inspector general report has served as fodder for arguments about President Trump. But its findings about surveillance are important beyond partisan politics.
By Charlie Savage
WASHINGTON — When a long-awaited inspector general report about the F.B.I.’s Russia investigation became public this week, partisans across the political spectrum mined it to argue about whether President Trump falsely smeared the F.B.I. or was its victim. But the report was also important for reasons that had nothing to do with Mr. Trump.
At more than 400 pages, the study amounted to the most searching look ever at the government’s secretive system for carrying out national-security surveillance on American soil. And what the report showed was not pretty.
The Justice Department’s independent inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, and his team uncovered a staggeringly dysfunctional and error-ridden process in how the F.B.I. went about obtaining and renewing court permission under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, to wiretap Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser.
...
The report should call into question the legitimacy of the FISA system “whether you like Trump, hate Trump, don’t care about Trump,” Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, the Republican chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said at the hearing on Wednesday.
“I’d hate to lose the ability of the FISA court to operate at a time probably when we need it the most,” Mr. Graham told Mr. Horowitz. “But after your report, I have serious concerns about whether the FISA court can continue unless there’s fundamental reform.”

IG Horowitz: Report doesn't vindicate 'anyone who touched' Trump probe at FBI
By Jeff Mordock - The Washington Times - Wednesday, December 11, 2019
The Justice Department’s inspector general warned Wednesday that his report does not vindicate the FBI’s actions in the investigation of 2016 Trump campaign collusion with Russia.
In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Inspector General Michael Horowitz laid out the FBI’s missteps, blaming the bungled investigation on failures by the bureau’s “entire chain of command.”
His testimony presented an image of an FBI single-mindedly pursuing a nefarious link between then-candidate Donald Trump and the Kremlin, but he stopped short of impugning the motives of FBI top brass who repeatedly erred in favor of surveilling the campaign in what was dubbed “Operation Crossfire Hurricane.”
“The activities we found don’t vindicate anyone who touched this,” Mr. Horowitz said. “The actions of FBI agents were not up to the standard of the FBI.”
Mr. Horowitz appeared before the panel to discuss his 434-page report, released Monday, that concluded the FBI was right to open an investigation into the Trump campaign but committed “inexplicable” errors, omissions and mistakes in applying to the FISA court for a wiretap on Mr. Page.
FBI officials suspected Mr. Page, a confidential CIA source, was a Russian agent. He has never been charged with wrongdoing.
Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, said the irregularities amounted to “a massive criminal conspiracy” to defraud the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and illegally surveil Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

CNN admits Trump correct, that 2 Democrats misquoted Ukraine call during impeachment markup session
By Danielle Wallace | Fox News
CNN sided with President Trump this week, agreeing in a fact check that two House Democrats, both from Texas, had misquoted the president's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky during a House Judiciary Committee impeachment markup session.
In a Twitter message Thursday, Trump wrote that Reps. Veronica Escobar, who represents El Paso, and Sheila Jackson Lee, who represents Houston, “purposely misquoted my call.”
“I said I want you to do us (our Country!) a favor, not me a favor. They know that but decided to LIE in order to make a fraudulent point! Very sad,” the president wrote.
In the declassified transcript of the call, Trump tells Zelensky, “I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot.”
CNN Politics’ Fact Check pointed out that Escobar and Jackson Lee either changed or omitted the word “us” when quoting the transcript in the markup session. The word “us” is significant because it implies Trump was asking for a favor of national interest, instead of a personal favor against a political rival.
Escobar claimed Trump said: “I want you to do me a favor though.”
Jackson Lee misquoted the call in the markup session, saying Trump told Zelensky: “I would like you to do a favor though.”
House Democrats announced earlier in the week they were filing two articles of impeachment against Trump, accusing him of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The abuse-of-power charge accuses Trump of using his presidential authority to urge Ukraine to launch an investigation into Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, under a quid pro quo agreement, effectively withholding military aid as leverage.
...
Like Trump, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, also pointed out that Escobar and Jackson Lee did not use the word “us” and, therefore, misquoted the transcript of the call.
Escobar responded to Trump’s tweet, first addressing him with the Russian greeting “Приве́т.”
Stanford Law School professor Pamela Karlan, who was one of three Democrat-called legal experts to testify before the House Judiciary Committee last week, claimed Trump was using what she called “the royal we” on the call with Zelensky.
"When the President said 'do us a favor,' he was using the royal we there," she said. "It wasn't a favor for the United States. He should have said do me a favor because only kings say 'us' when they mean 'me'."
During the hearing, Karlan also drew ire from the White House, the Trump campaign and even first lady Melania Trump after using 13-year-old Barron Trump’s name to illustrate her point that President Trump can’t rule like a king. George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley was the fourth witness in that hearing and the sole expert called by the GOP.

Anti-impeachment Democrat Jeff Van Drew meets with Trump to discuss party switch
By Adam Shaw, Mark Meredith | Fox News
Rep. Jeff Van Drew, D-N.J., met with President Trump on Friday to discuss going across party lines and joining the Republican Party -- this after he has spent months criticizing fellow Democrats for their push to impeach Trump.
A source confirmed to Fox News on Saturday that Van Drew met with Trump to discuss switching parties.
Another source told Fox News that Van Drew may be seeking a Rose Garden ceremony if he were to switch. Van Drew is one of two Democrats who opposed the resolution codifying the impeachment probe. In addition, Van Drew indicated last week he would not support impeachment and thought impeachment would backfire on Democrats.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, called the party switch "cynical and desperate."
"Jeff Van Drew has chosen his political career over our Constitution," Murphy said in a statement Friday night. "Despite knowing full well that the president has abused the powers of his office, Congressman Van Drew is now willing to enable Donald Trump just to try to salvage his own election."
He added: "Betraying our values by siding with Donald Trump is the final straw and made it impossible for him to continue being supported by our party, as grassroots activists, local party leaders in his district, and I have made clear in recent weeks."
The Washington Post first reported that Trump had personally urged Van Drew to jump ship and that the lawmaker strongly considering it. The New York Times reported that he could make an announcement as soon as next week, just as the House gears up to vote on impeachment.
A spokesperson for Van Drew did not immediately return a request for comment. Two Democratic aides told Fox News that they expected Van Drew to switch parties.
While Van Drew has called President Trump’s conduct in relation to his July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “unsavory,” he has repeatedly said he did not see evidence that would justify his removal from office. He was one of just two House Democrats to oppose the House’s November vote to set impeachment rules.
In an interview with Fox Business last month, he said he would vote against articles of impeachment unless he hears evidence against President Trump that "rises to the level of treason or a high crime."
He said the "Founding Fathers had vigorous debates of whether they would even allow impeachment in the Constitution," and that he favors allowing voters to decide the matter in next year's election.
"You don't disenfranchise voters, millions upon millions of voters. Voters choose their leaders in America," Van Drew had said.
The Times reported that during conversations between Van Drew and Trump advisers, where the freshman congressman said he was nervous about losing his seat either in a Democratic primary -- due to his opposition to impeachment in a liberal state -- or in a general election. A Democratic aide told Fox News that a recent poll his campaign took showed another Democrat would beat him in a primary race.
The Times reported that while Van Drew has not yet made a final decision, he was serious enough that he discussed what day to make an announcement and whether to do it before the upcoming vote on articles of impeachment.
The meeting came the same day that the House Judiciary Committee voted to adopt two articles of impeachment in a party-line vote. The article allege abuse of power and obstruction by Trump. Should the House adopt the articles next week, it could trigger a Senate trial in the new year just as 2020 presidential primaries are about to get underway.
"Today is a solemn and sad day,"* Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., told reporters after the vote. "For the third time in a little over a century and a half, the House Judiciary Committee has voted articles of impeachment against the president -- for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The House will act expeditiously."

- Senate confirmation of 50th Federal Appeals Court Judge
- Government shut Passage of the National down set to be averted
- Passade of the National Defense Bill
- Anti-semitism Executive Order
- Phase 1 of the Trade Deal with China
Cote Democrate
- Impeachment of the president with 2 articles: abuse of power*1 and obstruction of Congress*2.

Secret FISA court issues highly unusual public rebuke of FBI for mistakes The criticism comes after a report by the DOJ inspector general that found "so many basic and fundamental errors."

morbleu
